Chateau Haut-Maurac M¨¦doc Cru Bourgeois1980
Grape Varietals:
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot

Geographical Area:
AOC M¨¦doc

Alcohol: 12.5¡ã

Tasting Notes:
This is a boutique winery, producing only 70, 000 bottles of this wine. The wine has been aged in oak barrels for 12 to 14 months. Deep red ruby colour reflecting good fat. Roasted nose, coffee and cocoa bean, liquorice stick, black olive and resin, followed by blue berry, and a touch of black pepper. It's very fresh and elegant on the palate, with impressive length for this typical M¨¦doc.

Food Pairing:
Very full bodied and elegant, perfect with red meat dishes and strong cheeses.
