Tasting Notes:
The year 2001 was a great vintage for this property. This was a temperate year during ripening. These conditions resulted in great quality, healthy grapes for the production of wine. Upon completion of malolactic fermentation, the wines were put into barrels to mature for 12 months in French oak, 25% which were new vats.Liquorice flavours are supported by more delicate dark berries. This full and well-balanced wine with its deep, dark-red colour beautifully carries through on taste. A wine with great aging potential: more than 10 years.

To capture the great enjoyment of good food and wine, we recommend this wine to accompany a roast entrecote of beef with marinated artichokes along with any garlic seasoning. |
